Brother Burt Hall Honored
On Saturday, January 26, 2019, the Loudendale FWB Church gathered with friends, family and coworkers to honor Brother Burt in his retirement from the pastorate of this congregation. He had served the church on three different occasions:
1970 - 1976,
1984 - 1988,
and 2004 - 2019
In addressing the assembly, Brother Burt stated,
"I don’t know how any pastor anywhere could be more honored than I am honored today, having had the privilege of coming to this church three times—my home church—to pastor. It’s been a big privilege to get to serve in my community; not many preachers get to serve at home. When I first came here, two or three ladies came to me and said, “I helped the doctor deliver you!” Not many preachers can say his deacon’s wife or his Sunday School teacher helped deliver him. It’s been a pleasure to have been pastor of this church to my people. By the way, I haven’t quit—somebody told me they have some sinners down in Tennessee and, Lord willing, I’m still going to serve Him. I don’t think He’s finished with me yet and when He is, that’s okay, because He has a great retirement plan!"

June 7 and 8, at the McCorkle FWB Church in Sod, WV.
Our theme will be "LOVEST THOU ME?" from John's Gospel, 21:15-19
The host Pastor's welcome will be at 9:30, so come early enough to get registered
in plenty of time!
